What is the aim of this research? This research is being carried out to try to find an insight into the first-hand experiences of people who self-harm. It is hoped that this research could influence how people talk about it in a psychological setting and reduce stigmatism towards people who self-harm.
I need participants! I would like to speak to people who have self-harmed in the previous 2 years. It is important that if you participate in this research have received counseling, or are still receiving counseling to make sure you have support systems in place to be able to talk about sensitive issues. It is also important that if you have been diagnosed with a severe form of psychosis or severe learning disability that you do not take part in this study to ensure your psychological well-being.
