Happy Self Gone

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

We used to be so happy. We never were afraid. Nothing could sadden us even when we were hurt by people who we thought were our friends. I'm not exactly sure when we became different people. All I know is you left. And now I'm all alone with my sadness. Sometimes I see you, but we never really talk. We only glance once into each others eyes before walking away. I miss you and I want you back. Maybe someday I'll be able to find you again and maybe you'll be here to stay.
