they have no idea,

they think we're just like them.

they have no idea,

the kind of pain we're in.

we hear.

we see.

we find.

we cut.

we medicate.

we wrap.

we hide.

we heal.

we repeat.

we are a family.

a family of broken people.

families liken to quilts.

lives and stories stitched together.

mostly by hatred and tears.

but our family?

no.

our stitches are the ones we created into our skin to keep us from falling apart.

they tell us something is wrong with us,

they say we dont belong.

they have no idea,

the kind of pain we hunger for.

we hear the things they say.

we see our saving blades.

we find the time to breathe.

we cut out their lies; we bleed their poison.

we medicate the wounds that we created in desperation.

we wrap our bodies in scars, living stories.

we hide our stories behind clothes and lies.

we heal our bodies; but never a mind or heart.

we repeat the cycle of saving our souls from darkness.

they are the cause.

we are the casualties.

I like to right songs and the last line "They are the cause. We are the causilties." would go perfectly in one. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind me using it. If it ever does really become a song I could give credit to you if you want. I would just hate to take someones work as my own.
