Breadcrumbs:
They Say
"Don't cut," they say.
"Put the blade away."
"It's all about self control."
"Don't you have a soul?"
"Do it for me;
Just stop please."
But don't they see, as they're making my mind sway,
It's the only thing that takes the pain away.
It puts everything in place,
Gets my heart back to an even pace.
Until I'm hopeless again,
Hopeless needing my sharp friend.
It's always there when I am weak,
Providing the comfort that I seek.
What's so wrong with it?
Just a small slit...
It's only a temporary fix,
But then they say, "You're worth more than this."
