I've been gone a while, and we got a computer back..But..how in the world do the site work now?? Lol,i've checked on phones, and other stuff, but i'm compleatly confused right now!! Thankss

Are you on a phone or a computer? If it's displaying without styles (white and black, no colors) you'll have to do a hard refresh or empty your cache (http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache).

The navigation for your account has moved to the pinkish bar below the header (should contain Dashboard, My Profile, and so on, which have dropdowns). It also has the link to create content such as blogs, poems, etc.

Anything in particular you're confused about?

i cant chat because i dont have enough points. i uploaded a user picture. when/ how will i know if i get points?

You need a certain amount of points, somewhere between seven and fifteen. Then you can chat. I'll 'ok' them for you. I wasn't on the past two days so I wasn't able to 'ok' them.

You get points for rating/voting, adding blogs and other items, adding statuses, adding a user image, adding comments, etc.

Hello and thank you again for making this site. Quick question: How does the point system work exactly? How do you earn them? I've done several posts and comments, but still have 0. I'm just wondering because I would like to be able to chat and make my blogs public. Thanks for your time. Have a wonderful day. :)

You have 0 because I've been manually validating and wasn't around the past day or two. :)

It's just a tally of user activity on the site such as posts, comments, adding a user picture, people voting for things you've posted, etc. I only added so that when people reach a certain amount of points they will automatically be bumped up a user level and they will be able to publish a blog post without me having to validate it. Then, after a certain point they will be able to publish items under Creativity without me having to validate it. The validation system is around to keep as much spam as possible out and to keep things fairly safe around here (not to do with triggers).

To do a status update click on 'Post to Status' on your left, it should be in the section that says your username and has other links to various user sections.

To post to you blog go to where it says 'Create content' on the left and it should be there.

I got the idea from my priest though he certainly didn't intend it. I was very religious at the time because I was unconsciously attempting to use religion to 'heal' myself and one day the priest shows the class a picture of Christ with cuts and wounds all over him and says that's what happens to Him when you sin.

I thought, well, if that happens to Jesus then I should punish myself for hurting Him.

It wasn't as simple as that but that's where the idea came from. My father was verbally and emotionally abusive at the time, he also used to hit himself sometimes. He actually punched himself in the face and started bleeding when he talked with me after I told my mother about my self-injury. It was just a lot of things but the connection of me being a person who could self-injure came from that religion class lesson.

I have many writings, some of which may be triggering.  Is there a safe forum to put these in?  If not, I will not post them.  But even though they are triggering, they are a part of me that I share, it's kind of self therapy in a way.

You can post your writing if you have an account through here (http://self-injury.net/node/add). All the options that start with 'Creativity'. It's separated into different sections. Poetry, short stories, random bits of prose, personal/recovery stories, and then one for essays/opinions/articles.

Triggering is fine as long as you're not actively trying to encourage others to self-injure or self-destruct and since this is, I assume, poetry or short fiction that shouldn't be a problem.  Feel free to put a trigger warning if you think it's too triggering but it's not a requirement because it's pretty much a given that a lot of the work here will be triggering.
