Sala Samobójców a.k.a @Suicideroom (2011)

This is a Polish film about a teenager named Dominik who falls in with an internet suicide club after being ridiculed for having a sexual reaction to one of his male classmates a day or two after making out with the same classmate on a dare.

SI Scenes

Dominik's friends watch a video of someone cutting online on his laptop.

Dominik watches the SI video again to kill time while lost in his mother's office building.

The girl who leads the suicide club is in the middle of injuring herself when Dominik initially meets her online.

Having locked himself away in his room for days, Dominik injures himself and lands under 72 hour suicide watch in the local hospital.

Careful with this one.  It may be triggering.  My past experiences also give me concern that it could give a push to suicidal thoughts in some people.  For example, one of the club's activities is watching video of people committing suicide.  This is not the only example.  Be careful.

Saw (horror movie series)

Saw, for those who don't know. is about a serial killer who puts people he feels do not appreciate life in life threatening situations in order to teach them to appreciate life.

Saw (2004)

Jigsaw, the killer, traps a man behind a mesh of barbed wire. The man has to crawl through the barbed wire to get to the door and out of the room before a timer runs out. If he doesn't make it in time, the door will close and the man will be left to starve to death. There is no scene of SI - the guy dives into the barbed wire but... I'm submitting this for possible inclusion because the "crime" Jigsaw has convicted the guy of is that the man is a self-injurer.
The Amanda Young character is also a self-injurer but doesn't SI in this film.

Saw II (2005)

My memory is shot, but I think I remember Amanda Young cutting her arms in front of Jigsaw as part of the preparations for the poisoned house trap.

Strange Circus (Kimyô na sâkasu) (2005)

A little girl who is being sexually abused by her father and whose mother is going along with it, tries to kill herself by jumping from - if I remember correctly - a bridge.  She survives, but ends up in a wheelchair.  Her mother dies, her father fills the house with...I guess they're prostitutes, and ignores caring for his now handicapped daughter.
In one scene, he's having sex with one of the prostitutes on top of a piano with a bunch of the others watching and his daughter wheels herself into the room.  She has to go the bathroom, but everyone ignores her request for assistance.  She wheels herself into the kitchen, gets a butcher knife, goes back to the room where her father is with the prostitutes, and starts stabbing her paralyzed legs while screaming that she needs to use the bathroom.

This movie does feature scenes that suggest incest; it's not a told rather than shown part of the plot.  The girl deals by imaging herself as her mother during sex with her father, so it's the adult actress who plays the mother in the sex scenes instead of the young girl, but still....  I don't recommend this movie.  I'm only noting the SI.
