A Bright Red Scream
this book is the best book about SI i've ever read. it takes you into the lives of many people who SI. its nice to know i'm not alone.
my thoughts
I loved this book. its good to know I am not alone. I have been a cutter for 21yrs. more books need to be writen like this so more people will understand us.
A Bright Red Scream
pretty good...helps you understand why people hurt themselves and that it is not always for attention.
For any victim
As opposed to other SI informational books, this title steers away from over-analyzing patients and puts an emphasis on the stories of survivors and those struggling with self-multilation. I found myself captivated by the experiences and accounts of real people coping with a real problem. There's also a nice chapter defining the often misjudged difference on tattoos, piercings and other body modifications. Good book overall. Warning, rather graphic at some points.
