07/26/2012 -- Research for Parents

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Hello all. My name is Amy and I am a student at Deakin University Australia. I am conducting research into parents' perception of self-harm in young people, in the hopes to produce educational material to support parents and teenagers facing these issues.

I am looking for parents with a child aged 12-25 to complete an online survey assessing levels of general well-being, attachment to your child and attitudes towards self-injury. It will also ask you of your level of familiarity with self-injury. It should take no longer than 20 minutes.

If you're a parent and willing to participate, please follow the link below for more specific information in the Plain Language Statement regrading the survey. Participation is completely voluntary and anonymous; no identifiable data will be collected.

This research has been granted approval by the Human Ethics Department at Deakin University.

Thank you for your time,
Amy
