Specializes in treating clients of all ages who suffer from the results of trauma including dissociative disorders, PTSD, self-destructive behaviors (such as eating disorders, self-injurious behaviors, drug and alcohol abuse, etc.), depression, anxiety, attachment disorder and others
The Project provides a non-judgemental, young people friendly and user led support service to young people who self-harm. It also explores the needs of family/carers and professional in contact with them.
Offers the Interpersonal Effectiveness Program, which is a day treatment program for those who have been diagnosed with a personality disorder. Self-injury is one of the several problems listed in relation to this program. The program uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy. It aims to break the negative cycle of frequent hospitalizations and broken therapeutic alliance, which are common amongst those they treat. They do so by providing a structured setting that educates and supports those in the program in developing skills and confidence to assist them in functioning within their community.
There are other day treatment programs offered, including a depression management program and an anxiety management program. The hospital also offers an inpatient therapy program.
Therapist experienced at working compassionately towards resolving anxiety, depression, suicidality and self-harm, relationship issues, somatic (physical) complaints, mood problems, eating disorders and addictions.
Provides inpatient care for children. Amongst other units, has a neurobehavior unit. This unit treats children with mental retardation or autism who display severe behavior problems, including self-injury.
Services include inpatient and day treatment, outpatient treatment, home and community-based treatment and the Kennedy Krieger Scool.
