The Outpatient Intensive Treatment Program at David & Margaret Youth and Family Services was developed to provide specialized therapeutic services to adolescents, families and others who are experiencing a crisis within the family or in someone cared about. There is a focus on addressing self-injurious behavior.
Their Program for Trauma Recovery provides treatment for those with trauma, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and comorbidity. They specifically cover self-injurious behaviors in their work packet.
The hospital offers several other programs, as well.
The Developmental Disabilities Program treats emotional, behavioral or developmental problems in children (from 4 to 22) with mental retardation or autism. Their services include inpatient hospitalization, residential care and outpatient services. One of the reasons children are referred to for this program is self-injurious behavior.
