Yes. It took months to find a therapist who would take me. I was what they considered an "intensive case" that the average therapist didn't know how to handle/wasn't qualified to handle. It was really hard being told that. That you're too screwed up for a shrink. That there's no fixing you.

I've just been 'discharged'

I've just been 'discharged' from therapy as they felt that taking away my 'coping mechanisms' would leave me unable to cope and I would just find other more destructive ways to deal with my problems. That was helpful as you can imagine.
