Well, if I tell someone who doesn't know already, I just act like it's no big deal and kind of make a joke out of it. They usually don't say much, they don't know WHAT to say.

I can't really say why i self injure, i started at first when i was 14 and was being bullied in school and then i stopped but at the age of 17 i went down a spiral and left home then just felt alone and worthless and started again i then realised i had a problem , my friends mum had already noticed (who i was living with ) and was very concerned!! i then wentto get help but had to be honest i told my mum who was obviously upset and angry !! aftera few problems i moved back home ! went to the doctors and they were very helpfull , 2 week check ups to work out what to do next. i had to tell the school which was the hardest part for me ,as i did not want to be judged however they were also very supportive and told their concerns. my friends either laughed, cried got angry !! sometimes i cant even pick up a pair of scissors of compass a knife just any sharp obect without them giving me the look!! but people deal with it in different ways , deep down they are just concerened but there is support out there!
