Before I SI, I am usually confused and disoriented, and I don't know what to do or how to handle my problems. I also tend to feel severely depressed, and I don't think I will ever get better. During the time that I SI, my mind stops racing when I see the blood, and feel the pain. I feel calmer and in control. After I SI, I am usually relaxed and a little pleased that I can finally think straight. But if I have gone a while without SI-ing, and then I cut again, I might feel a little upset that I went for so long without cutting and then blew it.
