How I Hide My Self-Injury

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

To me the best way to hide self-injury is to use a wristband. I get the thin ones from Hot Topic that are about 3.5 inches long and they are duable. As a bonus they are super cute and can be worn with anything so you don't have to ware long sleeves year round. - Pandora

    Ive done pretty much

Ive done pretty much everything mentioned here but I do have one trick for making cuts heal faster.  (Which makes them easier to hide.)  The day after you cut, once a scab has formed get a piece of athletic tape and apply it directly onto your cut.  Wear it for 24hrs and then change it.  Each time you take it off the tape will peel off some of the scab.  After about 3 days all you have left are some red lines.  You have to use athletic tape because its sticky enough to adhere to the scab well but its also breathable so it can keep healing while you have it on.  Also, if you just peel it off after a short time it wont work because it wont have gotten stuck on to the scab enough.
