When I cut I feel a slight sting as I'm doing it, but usually its not as bad as the emotions I'm feeling so it goes unoticed, but after I have cut, it hurts when I touch it, the week or so it takes for it to start healing. But when I burn it doesn't hurt at all when I'm doing it, but the after effects hurts more than when I cut. So it just depends really...

sometimes I feel pain when I

sometimes I feel pain when I cut but mostly it only hurts after the fact.  Sometims it stings a little but that just tells me I have cut enough for the moment.  When I start to feel myself cutting I know I have cut enough and feel better.  I tend to the wond(s) with first aid cream and wrap them up and everything is fine.  Later when I take the wrap off for the first time it hurts because sometimes the scabs stick to the wrap but all in all I dont feel physical pain just an overload of emotional pain or sometimes nothing at all.  I cut because I cant feel anything and I just need to feel, to be prsent.  I cut to bring me back.
