Does anyone else not cover up

    • I've been self harming for a while now. And my cuts are fresh, i usually cut in one place unless i get out of control. At first i use to cover up and it worked because it was winter. But now it's spring and my sister asked why i was wearing a sweater. So i took it off and tried best not to show the cuts. It worked because the cuts were on the side of my arm. Now i wear shirts and sometimes use makeup to cover up the cuts. No one notices. Idk if i should feel happy no one noticed or sad that no one cares, even though they glance at my arm. I was caught once for being depressed but i just covered it up saying i was a little insecure  and laughed it off.

I currently don't try that much to cover my scars, but I always wear long pants whenever I go out somewhere even if it's hot outside. I have scars on my legs, arms, and chest. I went to the beach more than once without caring about my scars. While I was there, no one approached me about my scars. I probably grossed some people out, though. Whenever I go out, no one else asked me about my scars on my arm because I normally wear short-sleeved shirts. I think it's because they don't want to know what caused them. Before I told my family, I used to cut the bottom of my legs where anyone can see them if I wore gym shorts and I did. Most of the time, my family hardly noticed the scars on my arms and legs. Whenever they did notice, I would tell them I accidentally scratched myself and it would work. It got to the point when I told them, and then, they noticed that the scars on my legs and arms were self-inflicted
