    Telling your stories

    • Self injury and cutting are often misunderstood.

My partner and I are two award-winning /nominated women filmmakers. We are trying to make an honest, empathetic, non-judgemental and non-exploitative documentary about cutting.  To shatter myths and help people understand; possibly empower those brave enough to share stories; and to help those who may be in pain.

Would any of you be willing to talk to us?  We understand that this is a very private issue. We are happy to speak by phone, or by e-mail and provide the site, you-anyone with all our credentials and show that we are 100% who we say we are.

We are not looking to hurt anyone; rather to give those in pain a voice.   Sincerely, Nancy and Kate

What people don't understand is u don't do it for attention. I'm sure there r ppl out there that do and that's a shame. But when u are truly depressed n r biopolor u don't know ur gonna hurt ur self it happens one min u black out u go in a state of mind that's so horribly depressing and ur mind takes over your body. You wake up n notice ur bleeding sometimes u don't know y or how it happened. Other times u do it to take away from the pain inside or 2 shut up all the voices or ur mind. Its a war between u n ur mind but I'm a warrior n I'll never let my mind win. It may come close at times much more harder but I always come out alive. Scars cutting its a hard road but faith n God is stronger then it.
